Marriages are Made in Bond Street : True Stories from a 1940's Marriage Bureau.

This book is out tomorrow and really is well worth reading, a lovely look into the past.

In the spring of 1939, with the Second World War looming, two determined twenty-four-year-old's, Heather Jenner and Mary Oliver, decided to open a marriage bureau.

They found a tiny office on London's Bond Street and set about the delicate business of match-making.

Drawing on the bureau's extensive archives, Penrose Halson - who many years later found herself the proprietor of the bureau - tells their story, and those of their clients.

I hope you enjoy it

Another success for Sara Eden......

Dear Annabel

I just wanted to write to you to let you know how happy I am.

I joined Sara Eden at the end of last year, I was nervous not knowing what to expect. You quickly made me relax and I selected the initial men I wished to meet. I really didn’t expect to fall in love, I just hoped to meet some lovely people and make some good friends.

Well I did meet some lovely men and then one day I received Mark’s profile. I remember calling you and you told me how well suited you thought we were. Well I can tell you now you were spot on! Since our first meeting we both agreed it was love at first sight, we instantly felt a connection.

I want to thank you for making our dreams come true, without you and Sara Eden we would never have met.

I truly recommend S. E.

Thank you

Love for life......

We humans often think of ourselves as the only faithful species in the animal kingdom but did you know,  wolves, swans, gibbons, black vultures, albatrosses and even termites are just a few of those animals that find a mate for a lifetime.

The Safe way to meet a partner.....

At Sara Eden we meet everyone before they join us.  We always ask for three forms of ID (one has to be photo ID) and ask them to sign a confidentiality contract. This is to ensure our members know that the people they are being introduced to are genuine and ARE exactly who they say they are.

Meeting a partner through Sara Eden is Safe, Sensible and Fun!
